When Dresden watchmaker Ferdinand Adolph Lange established his manufactory in 1845, he laid the cornerstone of Saxony’s precision watchmaking industry. After a glorious comeback in the 1990s, led by Walter Lange, our meticulously handcrafted timepieces remain highly coveted among collectors. Lange & Söhne name. Our commitment to young people is rooted deeply in the tradition of A. Lange & Söhne. The Lange Watchmaking School, established in 1997, provides training in horology and craftsmanship for aspiring watchmakers. After completing the three-year apprenticeship, they can work at the Lange workshops and are considered among the most talented individuals within the watchmaking industry.
