Role Description The Audio Visual Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This role involves programming, configuring, integrating and commissioning audio-visual systems to meet project specifications. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and installation teams to deliver reliable, user-friendly AV solutions, providing technical support through testing, commissioning and project handover. Program, configure and commission AV control systems, user interfaces, digital signal processors (DSPs), audio routing and device automation. Integrate projectors, motorised screens, projector lifts, interactive displays, video walls, video conferencing systems, speakers, amplifiers, switchers and extenders. Develop, test and troubleshoot AV programming to ensure system functionality and performance. Conduct site surveys and assess technical requirements for new projects. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, installation teams and vendors to support timely project delivery. Configure digital signage and LED video wall systems. Maintain programming files, version control, configuration records and technical documentation. Prepare technical reports, method statements and handover documents, and interpret project drawings. Support technical evaluations, tender submissions, quality assessments and service audits. Provide client demonstrations, user training and technical support during commissioning and handover. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in AV programming, integration and commissioning. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification. Hands-on experience with AV control platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC or Kramer, including relevant programming or scripting tools. Knowledge of audio processing platforms such as Biamp, QSC or Bose. Strong understanding of AV technologies, audio signal flow, microphones, DSP configuration and basic acoustics. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, network switches and AV-over-IP systems. Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings; proficiency in AutoCAD is an advantage. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex technical tasks and collaborate across teams. Good English communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Relevant manufacturer certifications in control programming or audio processing are preferred. AVIXA CTS certification and experience in corporate, hospitality or education projects are advantages. Additional Requirements A valid driving licence is required; a UAE driving licence is preferred.
