Azure AI Platform Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Contract: 12-Month Extendable Contract Working Model: Onsite We are currently looking for an experienced Azure AI Platform Engineer to join a large project in Abu Dhabi, focused on building a secure, internally developed AI chatbot on Microsoft Azure - effectively an enterprise Copilot-style assistant. This is a hands-on platform engineering role for someone with strong experience designing and establishing enterprise-grade Azure AI environments from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have strong Platform and configuration depth, over heavy coding. It is essential that you hold one of the following certifications: Microsoft AI-102 Microsoft AI-103 Required Experience 5+ years' experience, with strong Azure AI platform expertise Deep knowledge of Azure AI Foundry Strong experience with Azure OpenAI Experience implementing Azure AI Search and Enterprise RAG Strong platform and configuration expertise rather than purely application development Strong understanding of AI governance and security Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, OIDC and SSO Strong knowledge of authentication, RBAC and enterprise data permissions Experience establishing Azure AI environments and reference architectures Key Responsibilities You will establish the Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI environment You must be capable of establishing the platform and reference architecture, not merely configuring an existing environment. You will establish the retrieval-augmented generation using Azure AI Search You will establish Entra ID authentication, SSO and role-based access You will establish data permissions and document-level security You will establish prompt management, agents and tool integration You will establish secure access to internal documents and knowledge sources
