DSP Engineer – Signal Processing (Radio Communications) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Working Pattern: On site Type: Permanent Salary: Dependent on experience Relocation: Open to candidates relocating — international applicants welcome Company: Tektora, supporting an established defence technology client Tektora are supporting an established defence technology client building software-defined radio and two-way radio products in Abu Dhabi, and are looking to speak with experienced DSP engineers. This role is open to relocation. The client is actively considering candidates from outside the UAE and will support the move for the right person. This is the senior technical voice on DSP for the product. It would suit someone who wants to own the signal processing end to end — theory and simulation through to what actually comes off the air in the lab — rather than implementing someone else’s algorithm. The Role You Will Be Involved In Leading DSP activity from feature development through to integration Defining and writing system-level specifications for the development and integration teams Producing performance figures from theoretical analysis and simulation Working across the software, FPGA, algorithms and QA teams Investigating and debugging signal processing issues from internal lab testing and from customers Key Experience Required Recognised depth in DSP systems and product behaviour — the person others come to with the hard questions Deep understanding of at least two of: blind signal demodulation, signal classification, pattern recognition, neural networks, TETRA, DMR, AM, FSK, PSK, OFDM Solid grounding in software-defined radio or two-way radio systems Implementing and simulating DSP systems in MATLAB or equivalent Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline Desirable Experience Waveform development on an SDR platform, and RF lab and over-the-air test experience Working alongside FPGA and embedded teams on real-time implementations Defence, security or another regulated, high-assurance environment Interested?
