Job Purpose The E-Learning Officer is responsible for managing, developing, and continuously improving the Academy's Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to support effective digital and blended learning. The role focuses on Moodle administration, system enhancement, course management, user support, reporting, and coordination with relevant departments and technical service providers. Job Dimensions Direct reports: NA Total staff supervised: NA Key Accountabilities System administration Manage and maintain the Academy's Moodle LMS and ensure its effective operation. Configure and update Moodle features, settings, courses, users, roles, permissions, and learning activities. Identify opportunities to improve Moodle functionality, usability, and the overall learning experience. Install, configure, maintain, and update approved Moodle plugins and extensions. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot Moodle-related issues. Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors for technical support, integrations, and system enhancements. Support Moodle upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features. Course and content management Create, configure, and maintain courses and learning pathways on Moodle. Upload, organize, and update training materials, videos, presentations, assessments, assignments, and other digital resources. Ensure courses are properly structured and aligned with approved training programs and curricula. Support trainers in using Moodle effectively for course delivery and learner engagement. Develop and maintain online activities, quizzes, assessments, surveys, and completion requirements. User management and support Manage learner and trainer accounts, enrollments, groups, and access permissions. Monitor learner participation, progress, completion, and assessment results. Provide technical guidance and support to trainers and trainees on Moodle usage. Identify recurring user issues and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience. Reporting and analytics Generate and maintain Moodle reports and learning analytics. Monitor course enrollment, attendance, completion rates, assessment results, and learner activity. Provide regular reports for management and relevant departments. Support the development of KPIs related to e-learning and digital learning performance. Continuous improvement Evaluate Moodle functionality and recommend new features, plugins, integrations, and improvements. Collect feedback from trainers and learners and translate it into platform improvements. Stay updated on Moodle developments, e-learning technologies, and digital learning best practices. Support the implementation of new digital learning initiatives across the Academy. Coordination, compliance, and documentation Coordinate with Training, Curriculum & R&D, Assessment, Quality, IT, and other relevant departments to ensure effective implementation of e-learning activities. Ensure digital learning content and Moodle practices comply with the Academy's policies, procedures, and quality requirements. Maintain proper documentation related to Moodle configuration, courses, users, updates, and system changes. Support audits and accreditation requirements related to e-learning and LMS activities. Perform any other work allocated by the Line Manager. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, E-Learning, Educational Technology, or a related field. Minimum experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in Moodle administration, LMS management, or e-learning. Position-specific skills: Strong hands-on experience with Moodle administration and configuration. Good knowledge of Moodle courses, activities, assessments, roles, permissions, and reporting. Experience with Moodle plugins, updates, customization, and system enhancements. Knowledge of LMS integrations and digital learning technologies. Basic understanding of SCORM and e-learning standards is preferred. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
