Role Summary: The ERP Systems Engineer will lead the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of company's Odoo ERP platform. The role will act as the bridge between company's business functions and the external Odoo implementation partner, ensuring that business requirements are properly translated into system configurations and that the ERP supports company's manufacturing, engineering, procurement, inventory, finance, sales, and maintenance operations with minimal customization. Following implementation, the ERP Systems Engineer will own the administration, continuous improvement, and optimization of the ERP platform. Role Lead STAAR’s ERP implementation alongside Odoo’s implementation team. Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from all departments. Configure standard Odoo modules wherever possible, minimizing unnecessary customization. Review proposed customizations and challenge them where standard Odoo functionality can achieve the same objective. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system validation. Develop and execute data migration plans from legacy systems. Configure and manage master data including: Products, Bills of Materials, Routings, Work Centres, Vendors, Customers, Product Categories, Maintain ERP master data integrity. Support users during implementation and post go-live. Prepare user manuals and conduct training sessions. Act as first-line ERP support for all company employees. Liaise with Odoo partners regarding enhancements, support requests and issue resolution. Evaluate new Odoo modules that may improve company operations. Support future ERP integrations including: SolidWorks, PLM/PDM, Power BI, Barcode systems, Manufacturing equipment, Attendance Systems Ensure ERP processes follow company's approved business processes. Continuously improve ERP workflows and business automation.
