The Role You have built real things on Palantir Foundry, and now you want to do it across many industries instead of one. As a Data Engineer at Artefact, you will design, build and ship Foundry-based data products for our clients, from pipelines and Ontology models to the operational apps their teams use every day. You will work alongside consultants, data scientists and engineers, and you will be the team's Foundry expert: setting standards, coaching colleagues and helping win and deliver new Foundry engagements. About Artefact Artefact is a data and AI consultancy that turns data into measurable business impact, from strategy and platforms to AI applications and data-driven marketing. We work with 1,000+ clients worldwide and are growing fast. Our 1,000 people across 20 offices include consultants, data scientists, data engineers and digital experts, working in lean, agile teams to deliver quickly. Palantir Foundry is a growing part of what we deliver, and we are investing in the team that leads it. What you will do: Build and maintain production data pipelines in Foundry using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories (Python / PySpark transforms) Design and evolve the Ontology: object types, link types, actions and functions that model the client's business Deliver operational applications and analytics in Workshop, Contour, Quiver and Slate, working directly with business users Integrate client source systems and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS) into Foundry, with sound data quality, lineage and permissions Apply engineering discipline: code review, automated tests, CI/CD and clear documentation Partner with data scientists and consultants to take ML and AIP use cases from prototype to production Lead or contribute to Foundry implementations, from scoping and architecture to hand-over, and explain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders Coach colleagues, share Foundry best practice and help shape Artefact's Palantir offering What you bring: Hands-on, production experience with Palantir Foundry: Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Ontology, and at least one of Workshop, Contour, Quiver or Slate. Ex-Palantir engineers (including Forward Deployed Engineers) are especially welcome Experience delivering or leading a Foundry implementation end to end, ideally with a client-facing role Strong Python, including writing, testing and releasing production code (PySpark experience is a plus) Strong SQL and experience with relational or columnar databases (e.g. BigQuery, SQL Server, Postgres) Git and version-control workflows, including pull requests and code review A practical, problem-solving approach to complex data challenges Foundry certifications, or experience with AIP and the Ontology SDK (OSDK) Experience on GCP, Azure or AWS Agile delivery and CI/CD experience REST API design, front-end work or ML model deployment, so you can contribute across the full project lifecycle
