About AlgoDriven AlgoDriven builds AI software for the automotive industry. Our products (EvalExpert, DriveExpert and InspectExpert) help dealer groups, banks and OEMs appraise, inspect and price vehicles across Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and South East Asia. The role We're looking for an AI-first full stack engineer who ships fast. You'll build and own features end to end across our PHP and Node.js APIs, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases and React front ends, using the latest AI coding tools as a core part of how you work every day. Backend and API engineering will be at the heart of what you do, in a small team with high ownership and few handoffs. Location: On-site, 5 days a week in our Dubai office. Full-time. Design, build and maintain secure, well-documented REST APIs in PHP and Node.js, used by our own apps and by customer and partner integrations Model data and write efficient queries in MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema changes and performance tuning Build responsive React front ends on top of the APIs you create Take features from idea to production: design, code, tests, deployment and monitoring Use AI coding agents and assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex) to ship much faster, while reviewing and testing everything they produce Keep up with new AI developer tooling and bring the best of it into how the team works Work directly with product, customers and the wider team to solve real problems What you'll bring 3+ years as an employed software engineer building production web applications (not counting internships or study) Strong backend engineering in PHP (e.g. Laravel) and Node.js, including designing and building production APIs Professional experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL Professional React experience A proven AI-first workflow: you use the latest AI coding tools every day and can show how they make you dramatically more productive Solid habits with Git, code review and automated testing Clear, professional spoken and written English You enjoy a startup environment with high ownership and few handoffs TypeScript Docker and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP or Azure) Integrating LLM APIs into products Experience with automotive, marketplace or pricing data Our hiring process Application with short screening questions A ~25-minute AI-led interview you complete at a time that suits you, reviewed by our team An online skills assessment (TestGorilla) A final interview with the hiring manager
