We’re looking for a Mid-level Backend Engineer to build robust, secure, and scalable backend services in a fast-paced FinTech environment. You’ll work closely with the Product team to understand the business logic behind each feature and turn requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions. Develop robust and standardized APIs using Java. Design and work with databases, including data modeling and query writing. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Understand the business logic and “why” behind features before implementation. Collaborate with Product to clarify requirements and contribute to better solutions. Take initiative in solving problems and executing tasks with minimal unnecessary rework. Quickly learn new concepts, adapt to changing requirements, and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment. Professional experience as a Mid-level Backend Engineer. Previous experience working in a FinTech company or on financial products/systems. Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on backend development experience. Solid understanding of API design, database modeling, and SQL/query writing. Good understanding of software testing principles and writing reliable code. Strong bias for action and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
