We’re looking for a hands-on Backend Lead to take ownership of designing and building complex, distributed fintech systems from 0 to 100. You’ll work closely with Product & Business teams, turn complex business challenges into pragmatic technical solutions, and help shape the technical direction of the product. Design and develop distributed financial systems end-to-end. Stay hands-on with coding, architecture, debugging, and technical decisions. Own backend architecture, data security, and core Cloud/DevOps infrastructure. Collaborate closely with Product & Business to solve complex problems and build pragmatic solutions. Lead incident response and crisis management and drive issues through to resolution. Maintain a strong focus on product quality, attention to detail, and customer value. Proven experience as a Backend Lead / Technical Lead, with a track record of leading backend engineering teams. Previous experience working in a FinTech company or on financial products/systems. Strong backend engineering experience with deep proficiency in Java. Proven experience with distributed systems, system design, and scalable architectures. Solid knowledge of Cloud, DevOps, and data security. A hands-on ownership mindset — comfortable leading while still being deeply involved in technical execution. Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and startup culture. Someone who enjoys building, experimenting, and moving fast without compromising quality.
