Role Summary The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Senior Developer is responsible for the development, customisation and technical support of Gemcorp’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. The role supports a growing user base and evolving business requirements, ensuring the platform continues to meet operational needs. It will also facilitate the transfer of technical knowledge from the current resource, ensuring continuity and establishing shared ownership of the platform. Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Provide technical advice to implementation partners and offshore development teams, reviewing estimates, designs and deliverables with appropriate technical scrutiny. Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement and release management within an Agile delivery model. Support UAT, hypercare and the transition to business-as-usual support, including knowledge transfer and documentation. Maintain the technical elements of the control environment, including segregation of duties, permission sets, environment access, change control and audit evidence. Ensure all extensions, integrations and Power Platform solutions comply with organisational cybersecurity, governance, audit and data protection requirements. Work closely with the Cyber Security function to embed security-by-design principles throughout the solution lifecycle. Experience Minimum seven years’ experience with Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central, including three full-lifecycle implementations in a senior technical role. Strong expertise in AL development, extension architecture and Business Central application models, with C/AL and upgrade experience advantageous. Strong functional understanding of Business Central and the underlying business processes Proven experience delivering complex integrations using REST/OData APIs, Azure integration services and middleware. Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction deployments, including statutory localisation requirements. Essential Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, storage, monitoring and integration. Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power BI. Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines and structured release management for Business Central. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Microsoft certifications such as MB-820, MB-800, PL-400 or PL-600. Experience in commodities, mining, energy, trading or other asset-intensive sectors. Skills Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. Practical experience with RDLC report design, Business Central financial reporting and SQL. Strong skills in AL development, Power Automate, .NET and API development. Collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Portuguese or Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
