Tune database performance and responsiveness; allocate memory and processor resources and plan future capacity expansion. Monitor user privileges and activities, secure databases and apply controls to address security vulnerabilities. Develop database-quality plans and policies, perform data cleansing and maintain high data quality. Migrate data between databases and carry out data-transfer activities using ETL tools.
