Job Description – Power BI Developer Job Title: Power BI Developer Employment Type: Full-Time Work Location: KSA Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience developing and supporting Power BI solutions in large-scale enterprise environments, including Power BI Report Server (PBIRS). 3 to 5 years Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing end-to-end report development and support activities, preferably within an on-premises Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) environment. The role requires strong proficiency in Power BI development, DAX, data modeling, report optimization, and enterprise reporting best practices to deliver scalable and business-driven analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced visualizations, bookmarks, drill-throughs, tooltips, conditional formatting, and dynamic navigation Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to support reporting and analytical requirements Utilize Power Query (M) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration Develop and manage data models including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, relationships, KPIs, and business logic Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting purposes Connect and integrate Power BI reports with enterprise databases, data warehouses, and other supported data sources Create and maintain JSON theme files, reusable report templates, and visualization standards Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage report access, permissions, and secure data connectivity Optimize report performance using DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer, and best practices for semantic modeling Publish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) Perform data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and production support activities Troubleshoot report issues and ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance Support report migration, source connection updates, and modernization initiatives while preserving existing functionality Maintain technical documentation including KPIs, calculations, data mappings, dependencies, and report configurations Must-Have Skills Power BI Development Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Power Query (M Language) Data Modeling and Data Warehousing Concepts SQL Query Development Dashboard and Report Design Row-Level Security (RLS) Report Performance Optimization Data Validation and Testing Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Development Good-to-Have Skills Tabular Editor DAX Studio Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses Experience with SAP Data Sources Experience with Modern Data Platforms and Lakehouse Architectures BI Report Migration and Modernization Initiatives JSON Theme Development and Report Standardization Data Governance and Reporting Best Practices
