The Principal Engineer – MDM is accountable for strategic leadership, governance, and enterprise-wide ownership of the Master Data Management function. The role drives the MDM vision, operating model, and roadmap while ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant delivery of MDM services across the organization. Acts as the key interface between business leadership, data governance, architecture, and technology teams to enable trusted, high-quality master data as a strategic asset. Qualifications & Experience ▪ Minimum Qualification ▪ Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Systemsor related field (Master’s preferred) ▪ 15+ years in Data Management / Enterprise Applications ▪ 8+ years hands-on with MDM platforms (Oracle preferred). ▪ Deep expertise in MDM architecture, data models, governance, and data quality frameworks. ▪ Strong Oracle ecosystem experience (UCM, OEDQ, ODI, EBS/Fusion, APIs, Middleware). ▪ Extensive experience in large-scale transformation programs and regulated environments (banking preferred). ▪ Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture. ▪ Proven leadership in stakeholder management, vendor management, and global delivery. ▪ Certifications in Oracle / Cloud / Data Governance / ITIL are preferred. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES ▪ Define and manage enterprise MDM strategy, roadmap, and governance aligned with business and regulatory priorities. ▪ Own end-to-end MDM service including Oracle MDM stack (Siebel UCM, OEDQ, ODI) across domains and geographies. ▪ Drive data standardization, stewardship models, and enterprise data quality frameworks. ▪ Ensure platform scalability, security, resilience, and performance across all environments. ▪ Oversee architecture, integration, and data flows across core banking, channels, and enterprise platforms. ▪ Lead large-scale MDM programs, transformations, and regulatory initiatives. ▪ Establish strong governance, audit readiness, and compliance with regulatory expectations (CBUAE, etc.). ▪ Drive advanced analytics, AI enablement, and data monetization through trusted master data. ▪ Manage stakeholders at executive level, aligning business, IT, and data offices. ▪ Oversee vendor strategy, contracts, delivery performance, and cost optimization. ▪ Ensure robust ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management. ▪ Lead and mentor high-performing teams including architects, leads, and SMEs.
