We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Rust Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of secure, scalable, and high-performance software platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will define engineering standards, architect mission-critical systems, mentor engineers, and drive Rust adoption across large-scale distributed platforms. 10+ years of software engineering experience 4+ years building production systems in Rust Proven experience as a Staff, Principal, or Lead Engineer Expertise in distributed systems, backend engineering, and systems programming Deep understanding of concurrency, asynchronous programming, networking, and performance optimization Strong experience with software architecture, CI/CD, observability, security, and cloud-native platforms Track record of delivering business-critical services at scale Key Responsibilities Architect and develop production-grade Rust services and libraries Lead technical decisions across multiple engineering teams Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, standards, and best practices Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and security Mentor engineers and elevate overall Rust capability across the organization Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, SRE, and Delivery teams to deliver scalable solutions Principal Rust Engineer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
