Programming Engineer / Senior Home Automation Technician

Newme Smart Home is looking for an experienced Programming Engineer / Senior Home Automation Technician to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in KNX programming, ETS, smart home automation, lighting control, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Program and configure KNX smart home and building automation systems. Develop, modify, and manage KNX projects using ETS software. Configure KNX sensors, switches, actuators, dimmers, thermostats, presence detectors, and other devices. Program lighting control, scenes, curtain/blind control, HVAC integration, and other automation functions. Conduct on-site testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Diagnose and resolve KNX programming, communication, addressing, and device-related issues. Carry out programming modifications based on project and client requirements. Integrate KNX with other smart home and building automation systems. Review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOQs, point lists, and device schedules. Maintain ETS project files, programming backups, testing records, and commissioning documentation. Attend project sites for programming, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system modifications. Coordinate with project engineers, technicians, project coordinators, consultants, and clients. Support final testing, client demonstrations, training, and project handover. Provide technical and after-sales support when required. 3+ years’ hands-on experience in KNX / Smart Home / Building Automation. KNX programming & ETS experience is mandatory. Experience in KNX installation, testing, commissioning & troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of KNX lighting control, scenes, HVAC, curtains/blinds and sensors. Ability to read technical drawings, BOQs & specifications. UAE project/site experience required. Strong technical, troubleshooting & communication skills. Engineering/Electrical/Automation qualification is an advantage. UAE driving license is an advantage. Willingness to travel to project sites across the UAE.
