We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer – Python to join our QA team. The primary focus of this role is API test automation using Python and pytest, including designing and implementing automated test flows, mocking external services, and maintaining and improving the automation framework and test suite. Strong Python programming skills are a core requirement for this position. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in Python, have strong problem-solving and algorithmic skills, and be able to write clean, maintainable code independently. The role also involves manual testing when needed and requires a solid understanding of software testing principles, API testing, and test automation. مسئولیتها
- Develop and maintain automated API tests using Python and pytest, with a strong focus on writing clean, maintainable, and reusable Python code.
- Design and implement end-to-end automated test flows covering business scenarios, edge cases, and integration points.
- Use Python to develop test utilities, helpers, fixtures, and reusable automation components when required.
- Mock external APIs and third-party services to isolate system behavior during automated testing. Perform manual testing when needed, including exploratory testing, feature validation, regression testing, and testing of features that are not yet automated.
- Be comfortable working across both automated and manual testing activities and contribute wherever testing effort is required.
- Write SQL queries to validate data correctness and business rules after test execution. · Participate in code reviews for automation code and follow Git-based development workflows, including branching and pull requests.
- Maintain and refactor automated tests as APIs, business logic, and application features evolve.
- Analyze test failures and report test results clearly, distinguishing between application defects, test issues, and environment-related failures.
- Track and report defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with developers to understand API contracts, business logic, and technical requirements before designing and implementing tests.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to test planning, estimation, and automation strategy.
نیازمندیها
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software testing or software development, including strong hands-on experience with Python programming and practical experience in test automation using Python and pytest.
- Prior QA experience is not mandatory; candidates with a strong Python/software development background who are transitioning into QA are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in Python (intermediate level minimum) or at least one other programming language (e.g., Java)
- ability to write clean, readable code and solve basic algorithmic problems is mandatory
- Hands-on experience with pytest for writing and running automated tests
- Experience with API testing (REST APIs): understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response structure, and authentication flows
- Familiarity with Git: branching, pull requests, and code review workflow
- Familiarity with different types of software testing: functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and API testing
- Ability to write basic SQL queries (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN) for data validation
- Experience with mocking/stubbing external services in automated tests
- Ability to perform manual testing when automation is not applicable
- Familiarity with Jira or similar bug tracking tools
- Experience with frontend automation tools
- Experience with Allure or pytest-html for test reporting
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or Kibana for log analysis
- Experience with performance/load testing tools
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent knowledge
- Knowledge of Docker or containerized environments
