Role Description The Senior BMS Engineer will oversee the design, programming, commissioning, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS) for commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, preparing control schematics and point lists, and configuring BMS hardware and software to ensure seamless integration with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, conducting site inspections, performing functional tests, and providing technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders. The Senior BMS Engineer will also support energy efficiency initiatives by analyzing building performance data and recommending control strategies to reduce consumption and improve comfort. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, requiring close collaboration with engineering, construction, and operations teams. Strong expertise in BMS design, programming, and commissioning, including experience with major BMS platforms and integration with HVAC and electrical systems. Proficiency in building automation, control systems, and instrumentation, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, control diagrams, and technical specifications. Experience in energy management and optimization, including data analysis, performance monitoring, and implementation of energy conservation measures. Solid project execution skills, including site coordination, documentation, report writing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering (or related field); advanced certifications in BMS or building automation are an advantage. Previous experience in a senior or lead BMS engineering role within the building services, MEP, or energy sector, ideally on large commercial or industrial projects. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams in a professional manner. Willingness to work on-site in Dubai and to attend site visits, inspections, and meetings as required.
