About Ghanem Ghanem builds technology for real estate investment in Saudi Arabia. Our platform brings together investor onboarding, identity verification, investment opportunities, wallets, payments, and portfolio management. We build customer experiences across mobile and web, alongside the operational tools and integrations that support the investment lifecycle. The Role We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure and delivery systems behind Ghanem. You will help engineering ship safely, keep customer and financial services reliable, and make environments secure, repeatable, and straightforward to operate. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for production reliability and developer productivity. Our Engineering Environment Google Cloud Platform, GKE, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize. Our services use Java and Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Operational investigation uses Google Cloud logging and monitoring, gcloud, and kubectl, alongside application telemetry. What You Will Do Operate and improve GCP and GKE environments across production, staging, and internal services, including networking, ingress, TLS, workload configuration, and scaling Maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitOps with Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize, keeping changes reproducible, reviewable, and recoverable Improve GitHub Actions pipelines for backend services, web applications, and mobile releases, including build runners, artifact management, quality gates, and deployment automation Design safe release and rollback procedures, and coordinate application changes, database migrations, configuration, and post-deployment validation Build actionable monitoring and alerting for availability, latency, errors, and capacity, and investigate incidents using Google Cloud tools, structured logs, and Kubernetes diagnostics Strengthen IAM, Workload Identity, secret management, access controls, and environment isolation, and support security reviews and evidence collection Own backup and recovery procedures with service owners, validate restores, and maintain practical incident and disaster recovery runbooks Improve cost efficiency and capacity planning without compromising reliability, remove manual operational work, and help engineers diagnose platform problems What Success Looks Like Releases become predictable, environments are reproducible, and incidents are easier to detect and resolve. Recovery procedures work when tested, access is controlled, and infrastructure spending is understood and actively managed. What You Will Bring 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with hands-on responsibility for production systems Strong GCP and Kubernetes experience, including GKE, IAM, networking, Workload Identity, storage, and service exposure Practical Terraform experience, including modular configuration, state management, drift investigation, and controlled changes Experience building CI/CD pipelines and operating GitOps delivery with tools such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD Strong Linux, container, and network troubleshooting skills, plus scripting ability in Bash, Python, or an equivalent language Experience with cloud observability, incident response, backups, recovery testing, and operating database-dependent applications Ability to explain operational risk, document procedures, and work with engineers to resolve failures across service boundaries Experience supporting fintech or other environments with sensitive data and strict reliability and audit requirements Experience with Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, Redis, Google Secret Manager, External Secrets, and Workload Identity Federation Experience with self-hosted GitHub Actions runners, Flutter build and release pipelines, mobile signing, or OpenTelemetry
