We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results and recommends corrective actions. Provides guidance and mentorship to entry level engineers on technical concepts and best practices. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system analyses. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including project managers, quality assurance specialists, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met. Conducts quality assurance reviews and oversees testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoots complex instrumentation and control system issues, implementing solutions that optimize system performance and reliability. Participates in design reviews and provides technical recommendations to improve system efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. **Required ** Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related engineering discipline Minimum 5-7 years of professional engineering experience in instrumentation and control systems design, implementation, or maintenance Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing complex ICT and instrumentation systems Strong proficiency in developing technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system analyses Solid understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements applicable to instrumentation and control systems Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering assignments within budget and schedule constraints Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams Proficiency in engineering design tools and software relevant to instrumentation and controls **Preferred ** Master's degree in Engineering or related field Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification Experience with design review processes and quality assurance protocols Familiarity with project management methodologies Knowledge of automation and control system platforms Experience in a regulated industry environment Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
