Our client, a software vendor in the security space, is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design, build and run high-volume data services. This is an end-to-end ownership role: you’ll shape new features alongside users, ship them in short iterations, and keep them running reliably in production. Design and build services that process and store large volumes of data, choosing the right storage technology for each job Maintain and improve existing services for performance, stability and data integrity Troubleshoot production issues across code, infrastructure and databases Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code within a peer-review culture Work closely with cross-functional teams, customers and end users What you’ll bring 5+ years’ professional software development, with Java (8+) as your primary language Solid experience across relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases Proven track record building distributed, microservice-based and event-driven systems Strong grasp of architecture, design patterns and trade-offs Hands-on Docker, Linux and command-line proficiency Observability experience with Prometheus and Grafana Understanding of Mechanical Sympathy and working knowledge of low-level network programming SIP/RTP protocol experience (highly desirable); Spring Boot; Kafka, RabbitMQ, NSQ or ActiveMQ; MongoDB and Elasticsearch; Spark, Iceberg or data warehouse design; S3-style object storage; Ansible and Kubernetes; Python.
