Empowering Nations and Enterprises with Sovereign AI

شرح موقعیت

Company Introduction Open Innovation AI is a global technology company that specializes in developing advanced solutions for managing AI workloads. Its flagship product, the Open Innovation Cluster Manager (OICM), orchestrates complex AI tasks efficiently across diverse infrastructures. The platform is hardware-agnostic, optimized for various GPUs and accelerators hardware, and facilitates seamless integration and scalability for enterprise AI applications. Open Innovation AI focuses on optimizing and simplifying AI workload management and making AI technologies accessible to organizations of all sizes. With its innovative solutions, companies can reduce operational costs, accelerate time to value, and maximize their return on investment, ensuring that their AI strategies contribute directly to enhanced business outcomes. Candidate Profile We are specifically looking for Platform Engineers who engineer and operate Kubernetes itself, rather than engineers whose primary responsibility is deploying applications onto existing Kubernetes clusters. Candidates whose experience is limited to managed Kubernetes services such as Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, or Google GKE, application-level observability, CI/CD pipelines, or general DevOps activities will not meet the core requirements for this role. Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with deep, hands-on experience in building, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters at the infrastructure level. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes control-plane components, etcd administration, cluster observability, and platform automation. This role focuses on Kubernetes platform engineering and cluster internals, including self-managed Kubernetes environments, rather than application deployment, cloud-managed Kubernetes services, or traditional DevOps responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Kubernetes Cluster Engineering: Build, bootstrap, configure, and manage self-managed Kubernetes clusters, including control-plane components, worker nodes, cluster networking, and core platform services. Control-Plane Management: Troubleshoot and maintain Kubernetes API server, scheduler, controller manager, and other critical control-plane components to ensure cluster stability and reliability. etcd Administration: Perform etcd tuning, backup and restore, disaster recovery, cluster health analysis, performance troubleshooting, and quorum-related issue resolution. Cluster Observability: Implement and maintain observability solutions for Kubernetes infrastructure, covering cluster health, control-plane metrics, etcd performance, node health, resource utilization, and system-level logs and alerts. GitOps and Platform Configuration: Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using FluxCD to manage cluster configurations, platform components, and infrastructure-level changes. Platform Automation: Develop automation using Ansible to provision, configure, upgrade, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and their underlying infrastructure. Helm and Platform Components: Use Helm to package, configure, deploy, and manage Kubernetes platform components and infrastructure services. Scripting and Tooling: Develop scripts and automation utilities using Bash and/or Python to streamline platform operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and recovery procedures. Cluster Lifecycle Management: Manage Kubernetes upgrades, configuration changes, certificate rotation, node lifecycle operations, and platform maintenance with minimal disruption. Incident Management and Reliability: Diagnose complex cluster-level failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to improve platform resilience and availability. Documentation and Best Practices: Develop technical documentation, operational runbooks, recovery procedures, and standards for Kubernetes platform operations. Required Technical Skills and Experience Strong hands-on experience building and managing self-managed Kubernetes clusters, including control-plane setup and administration. In-depth understanding of Kubernetes architecture, internals, control-plane components, and cluster lifecycle management. Practical experience with etcd tuning, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience implementing and operating Kubernetes cluster-level observability, including metrics, logs, alerts, and health monitoring. Hands-on experience with FluxCD and GitOps-based infrastructure configuration management. Strong experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes platform components. Experience with Ansible for infrastructure configuration, provisioning, and operational automation. Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Experience diagnosing complex Kubernetes cluster issues across control-plane components, nodes, networking, and core services. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating Kubernetes in bare-metal, on-premises, private-cloud, or hybrid infrastructure environments. Experience with Kubernetes bootstrap tools such as kubeadm or equivalent cluster provisioning approaches. Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, DNS, certificates, RBAC, and cluster security. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and related infrastructure monitoring tools. Experience managing highly available Kubernetes control planes and performing disaster recovery exercises. Experience with air-gapped environments and automated platform upgrades.
