Software Architect Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia / Cairo, Egypt Job Type: Full-time Workplace Type: On-site Seniority Level: Director Experience: 10–15 years Industry: Technology, Information and Internet We are looking for an experienced Product Architect to own the technical architecture and future evolution of the Imploy platform. The role will be responsible for key architectural and design decisions across data, applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI services, while ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable. This is a hands-on architecture role working with an established production platform, rather than a greenfield system built from scratch. Key Responsibilities Define and manage the target architecture for the Imploy platform and develop a phased roadmap for transitioning from the current to the target state. Design and lead the implementation of a Canonical Data Model across an existing production system while ensuring service continuity and data integrity. Establish and implement a standardized occupation and job-title taxonomy such as ESCO, ISCO, O*NET, or SOC, including mapping legacy free-text data to the selected classification. Define architectural standards, design patterns, and technology choices across .NET, Azure cloud infrastructure, web, and mobile applications. Establish software engineering practices including CI/CD, environment separation, version management, and deployment processes. Maintain the architecture repository, including Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), design documentation, and technical specifications. Ensure data is structured and optimized for machine and AI consumption, including data-model readiness, search relevance, and evaluation of AI output quality. Apply Security by Design principles and ensure compliance with data localization requirements, PDPL, data-retention policies, and third-party data governance. Assess the scope, impact, and cost of architectural changes before committing to delivery timelines. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Cybersecurity teams across Riyadh and Cairo and serve as a technical reference for architecture governance and security audits. 10–15 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 4 years in software architecture with direct ownership of architectural and design decisions. Proven experience scaling a multi-sided marketplace or high-traffic consumer platform with millions of records. Strong hands-on experience with existing production systems, not only greenfield development. Deep expertise in data modeling, including canonical data models and production data migration. Practical knowledge of occupation or job classification standards and mapping legacy free-text data to standardized classifications. Strong architectural experience with .NET and cloud computing, with strong preference for Microsoft Azure. Proven experience implementing CI/CD, environment separation, and release management within engineering teams. Experience with Security by Design, data localization, privacy regulations, data retention, and third-party data governance. Ability to lead initiatives through engineering teams without direct managerial authority and work effectively across distributed teams. Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is a plus for working with bilingual data. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Recruitment, HR Tech, or Marketplace platforms. Experience with AI/ML services in production environments, including evaluating model output quality. Knowledge of PDPL or similar regional data protection regulations. Candidate Location Candidates must be currently based in Riyadh or Cairo, as the role is not transferable to another city.
