We want to redefine what technology can do in this region, and we’re looking for an IT Network Engineer who can help us move even faster. noon’s mission: Every door, every day. About graduate program: Our graduate program is a very carefully crafted initiative by Noon that aims to recruit and nurture talented fresh graduates from the region and train them to become experts in GCC’s e-commerce industry. It consists of a 4-6 week intensive training program that equips the new joiners with the technical and domain knowledge to become productive members of the Noon engineering ecosystem. Through end-to-end training projects, technical tutorials, system design sessions, Q/As, and calls with members of Noon’s different verticals, the new joiners will learn about noon from many angles and will eventually onboard into specialized teams. The program also includes mentorship to help the joiners as they progress in their career. As a Software Development Engineer at Noon, you’ll be working in a specialized domain within one of the technology divisions. You will be part of a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary team of engineers, product managers, user experience and quality assurance professionals. Your responsibilities will include: Developing back-end logic for web and mobile applications, as well as working with front-end and devops for integration Designing and implementing data modeling solutions using relational databases Building high-quality, reusable and scalable code with test suites that can scale to millions of users across the region Working with internal and external stakeholders to brainstorm new solutions, debug and enhance existing ones, and contribute ideas to the technologies and products Continually updating your technical and domain knowledge by attending in-house and external courses Must Haves: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering A passion for solving problems demonstrated through internships, personal projects, hackathons or competitive programming competitions Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures and system design Outstanding communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Good to Have: Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle: ideation, development, testing, deployment and maintenance Knowledge and experience working with MySQL and server-side Python Knowledge of DevOps: continuous integration and deployment, Docker and Kubernetes Who will excel - We’re looking for people with high standards, who understand that hard work matters.
