Role Overview We are looking for Software Engineers who think and operate like Product Builders: people who transform business problems into valuable software products. Success in this role combines product thinking, strong software engineering fundamentals, systems thinking, and ownership, with hands-on expertise in modern backend development and core software architecture. What You'll Build Transform business problems, customer needs, and operational workflows into practical, scalable software solutions. Design, build, and evolve product capabilities across services, APIs, data, integrations, and user-facing workflows. Develop reliable, scalable backend services primarily using Java and Spring Boot, selecting the appropriate Spring ecosystem capabilities for the product need. Define and implement sound software architecture, including service boundaries, data flows, API contracts, security, and integration patterns. Build maintainable, secure, and resilient systems using automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and containerized deployment practices. Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps, and engineers to deliver measurable customer value. Own software from discovery through production and continuous improvement; use AI-assisted development responsibly while validating quality and correctness. Core Competencies Product & Business Thinking Understand business domains, customer needs, and operational workflows; connect technical decisions to product outcomes. Translate ambiguous requirements into clear product increments, technical plans, and deliverable software. Balance customer value, time to market, technical quality, and long-term maintainability when making engineering decisions. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute constructively to product discovery. Engineering Expertise & Architecture Strong hands-on development skills in Java and Spring Boot, including service development, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Boot configuration, testing, and enterprise integrations. Professional Java backend development experience, including API design, validation, asynchronous processing where needed, and ORM-based persistence with Spring Data. Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, clean code, SOLID principles, common design patterns, and the SDLC. Ability to design and evolve APIs, databases, integrations, and distributed-service boundaries; working knowledge of SQL, REST, authentication, authorization, and event-driven patterns. Working knowledge of Git, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, cloud-native deployment, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, code review, and secure coding practices.
