Graduate Software Engineer Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (on-site) Employment type: Full-time Experience: 0–1 years Eligibility: Saudi nationals only About Qawafel Qawafel is a Riyadh-based B2B trade finance fintech helping Saudi SMEs access Sharia-compliant financing. We turn SME trade data into structured, bank-ready packages and route them to our banking partners, making financing faster and more accessible for the businesses that drive the Kingdom's economy. We're a small, fast-moving team where every hire has real ownership from day one. We're looking for a fresh Software Engineering graduate who wants to apply their technical background to building products. You'll join the Product team and work closely with Engineering. Your job is to turn customer problems into clear requirements, well-documented solutions, and working prototypes. This is not a traditional coding role. Most of your time will go to analysis, requirements, and documentation. You'll use AI tools, vibe coding, and AI agents to prototype ideas and automate work. Your engineering background is what lets you speak both languages: you'll understand what customers need and what engineers can realistically build. Lead product discovery with the Product and Engineering teams Collect, analyze, and document business and product requirements Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs engineers can build from Write and maintain product documentation, process flows, and integration specs Run benchmark analysis of competing products and market solutions Plan and support usability testing, and turn feedback into clear insights Coordinate integration projects with internal teams and external partners, including banks Build quick prototypes and proofs of concept using vibe coding and AI-assisted tools Build AI agents and automations that improve internal workflows and analysis Visit customers when needed to understand their workflows and pain points Support the team in testing ideas, validating solutions, and improving user experience Must-have Saudi national Currently based in Riyadh Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems) 0–1 years of experience (fresh graduates welcome) Fluent English, both written and spoken Solid technical fundamentals: you understand how software, APIs, and databases work Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Excellent documentation and writing skills Hands-on with AI tools, comfortable with vibe coding, and able to build AI agents Good communication skills, with the ability to work across product, engineering, and customers Eager to grow in product management and applied AI Nice-to-have Graduate of a top-tier university such as KFUPM, Prince Sultan University (PSU), or King Saud University (KSU) A portfolio of prototypes, AI agents, or projects you've built Internship or project experience in product, business analysis, or fintech Experience with tools like Figma, Jira, or Notion Interest in trade, finance, or the SME ecosystem Your code in production early, with real ownership Mentorship from experienced engineers A front-row seat in a growing Saudi fintech Hands-on experience building with AI in a real product Competitive compensation How to Apply Apply through this page and include your GitHub profile or a link to projects you've built.
