About Baytonia Baytonia is a leading Saudi furniture and home goods company serving customers online and through showrooms across the Kingdom. We run a modern commerce and ERP stack with a growing suite of in-house tools and integrations, and we are investing heavily in technology and AI to power the next stage of our growth. We are looking for a hands-on Technology Lead to own our engineering function end to end. You will manage a small development team, build and ship features yourself, and be the technical authority for everything from e-commerce platform work to ERP customization, payment integrations, and automation. This is a builder's role: you will spend most of your time in the code and the rest making sure the team ships the right things, fast.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a small engineering team; set standards for code quality, reviews, and delivery
- Own the health, performance, and roadmap of our e-commerce platform and ERP, including custom module development
- Build and maintain integrations across the stack: payment and BNPL providers, logistics partners, SMS/notifications, and internal middleware services
- Design and ship internal web and mobile tools that streamline sales, operations, and customer service
- Drive workflow automation to reduce manual work across departments
- Evaluate and integrate AI tooling — conversational commerce, Arabic-language AI assistants, and internal productivity tools
- Ensure reliability, security, and safe release practices across production systems
- Translate business priorities into a clear technical roadmap and communicate progress to leadership
نیازمندیها
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years leading or mentoring developers
- Strong hands-on skills in a modern backend language (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js) plus JavaScript/TypeScript
- Real-world experience with e-commerce platforms and ERP systems
- Proven track record integrating third-party APIs: payment gateways, BNPL, webhooks, and RPC/REST services
- Solid grasp of relational databases, background jobs, and production debugging
- Pragmatic engineering judgment: idempotency, rollback safety, and careful writes to live business systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship in a fast-moving retail environment
- Fluent English; Arabic is a strong plus (our customers are Arabic-first)
- Mobile development experience (native or cross-platform)
- Experience with RTL/Arabic localization in web and mobile products
- Exposure to AI/LLM integrations (chat assistants, WhatsApp commerce, agent tooling)
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or logistics companies in the GCC
